“St Edward’s Oxford has booked the One Day Film School since 2012 because provides a great team work activity for the start of the academic year. Our pupils have enjoyed learning about the various skills involved in filmmaking, such as film history, screenwriting and camera. The highlight of the day is the Oscars ceremony, because it offers the chance for the pupils to show the high quality films that they were able to make. We continue to run the One Day Film School at St Edward’s Oxford each year because we couldn’t think of a more effective way to run a challenging team building induction activity at the start of the year” – ANNA FIELDING, International Baccalaureate Coordinator

I enjoyed all of the films very much, however I was wondering why the tragic wedding was in black and white, now I know: it was Ethan’s orange wig.

The Shell Film Day was an exciting day full of enthusiastic young actors ready to take their first small step into the world of acting. Although this day might not be the start of everyone’s acting career, it was definitely an exhilarating and invigorating day, that all shells shall certainly remember in the future.

I think the film day was a nice break from classes, and it taught us a lot about cinematography. I think it was useful to every pupil because it taught us how to deal with being in groups with other pupils, to take part in making art, to make plans and experience leadership. This was fun. I’m a tad bit saddened by its ending actually.

I thought that is was very good, I thoroughly enjoyed it, I would have maybe liked if we got more time to film our main movies as my group did not have enough, other than that I really liked it and would love to do it again if I could.
