“we book the one day film school because we feel that it is an excellent day in an educational and social sense. it is wonderful to see our year 11s enjoy themselves in learning all about cinema and putting it into practice. it is an extremely valuable experience for our pupils because they have to decide on the various roles within their teams, they have to write, perform and act, and adapt their ideas to their surroundings at the college in innovative and interesting ways. there are few better examples of teamwork and collaboration, since everything they do has to play to the strengths of everyone in their team. it is always one of the most popular days in our post-gcses activities week” – niall murphy, deputy warden
